A corporate network agreement is a tool that enables several entrepreneurs to enhance, both individually and collectively, their capacity for innovation and their competitiveness in the market. The parties therefore agree and contractually undertake:

• to observe a common programme,
• to collaborate or to exchange information or services,
• or even to jointly carry out one or more activities falling within the scope of their business.

The purpose of a network contract may also be to manage the workforce of the companies forming part of the network more effectively and efficiently. An agreement could, for example, be established to promote the employment of workers from the companies participating in the network who are at risk of losing their jobs, or the recruitment of people who have lost their jobs due to business closure or a corporate crisis, or the hiring of professionals necessary to boost production activities as the economy emerges from the crisis.

To this end, companies may make use of secondment and co-employment arrangements, in accordance with Article 30, paragraph 4-ter, of Legislative Decree No. 276 of 10 September 2003, for the performance of work at companies participating in the network.
